Rishi Bansal, Branding & Communications Officer

Rishi Bansal is thrilled and honoured to be serving as the Branding and Communications Officer for the 2016-2017 year. Rishi is a grade 11 student at Bayview Secondary School where he is pursuing an International Baccalaureate Diploma. He has been involved in DECA all throughout high school, serving as the Junior Executive and Public Relations officer at his home chapter in addition to being a student advisor for DECA BC. He has attended two previous ICDCs and is excited to inspire and guide DECA Ontario members along their respective paths to success.

In addition to his academics and DECA, Rishi is involved in an assortment of other extra-curricular activities. Among others, he is the President of his school’s Brain Bee chapter, a club that seeks to spark an interest in neuroscience research in youth. For his efforts, he received an Award in Recognition of his leadership in promoting early education in neuroscience from the University of Toronto Collaborative Program in Neuroscience (CPIN). He is also the Co-Founder and Co-President of his school’s Public Speaking club, coaching students to compete at the regional, provincial and national level.

In his free time, Rishi enjoys relaxing with his friends, reading books, cooking, and loves good food. Above all, he is a storyteller; he loves exchanging stories with all those he meets. Rishi has an ardent love for DECA and can’t wait to share it with DECA Ontario. If you have any questions, ideas or suggests, he encourages you to contact him at rishi@deca.ca.
